Petrolo was purchased by the Bazzocchi family in the 1940s. Winemaking here has been aiming to produce wines with character, and show the true taste of terroir since the second half of the 80’s. This is the core idea of Petrolo’s wines, making not basic but great wine.


The winery has been improving in recent years, aiming towards labels that could assure high quality and illustrate a coherent identity of the Estate. Making great wines is challenging, multiple circumstances needed to be met, including special pedoclimatic conditions, delicate work in vineyard and cellar, and a good dose of luck. Petrolo plants with care everyday to provide the best wine to their customers.
