Champagne Perrier-Jouet
Maison Perrier-Jouët was born in 1811, one year after the marriage of Pierre-Nicolas Perrier and Rose-Adélaide Jouët, the two passionate champagne lovers. They began cultivating vines and quickly realised the potential of Chardonnay in the Côte des Blancs.
The founders’ passion for art, nature and champagne have been passed down through the generations. Their son Charles Perrier, a botanist like his father, took over the House in 1848. The family philosophy of freedom to create, and unconventional observation of nature, is intrinsic to the history of champagne. These values shape Maison Perrier-Jouët to this day.
