Château Bel-Air
Château Bel-Air was born in 1716, on the foothills of the Garonne River. In 1898, Martin Borderie, a wine merchant, also the great-great-grand-father of Roland Coiffe, acquired Château Bel-Air. Jean-Eugène Borie, Roland Coiffe’s grand-father, devoted his professional life to Bordeaux fine wines by renovating Chateau Ducru-Beaucaillou, then Chateau Grand-Puy-Lacoste. In 2005, Golwinne and Roland Coiffe took over the estate and made wines from Château Bel-Air all organic.
In 2019, Golwinne and Roland planted 2,5 hectares more of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The same year the old barrel cellar is subjected to an important modernisation and upgrade.
